Im surprised how quiet Mohd Sultan has become. Long gone are the days with people queueing for Mdm Wong, DBL O… I guess I didn’t really believe what I’ve read or see till I witness it myself. Was actually heading for The Cannery but change plans and remembered I’ve always wanted to checkout this place in Mohd Sultan ‘DayBed’ and so me and my girls make our way there.

Fell in love rightaway with the very chillout music and cozy lightings. The main highlight here is none other than the BEDS themselves! There are queen size bed for 2, for 4, and for groups. How can anyone not like this concept? This place reminds me of BKK’s Bed Supperclub. Beds with lotsa big cushions and pillows, feels like home. Check out our bed!

Housepours: $119 for 2 jugs, Beers: $90 for 2 jugs and many other cocktails, martinis and mixes to choose from. Very friendly staff; recommended us drinks and bartender made me a special drink on the house (birthday girl).

Looking for a good place to chillout with ur khakis? Seek no more and head down to DayBed. Satisfaction guaranteed.

anyone knows any lucky draws that allows me to win $$$$$$$ instead?

i dont really have any luck when it comes to 4D, Toto or cash itself as a matter of fact. some friends say “eh, you dont buy how to win.” erm, ya lah… i dont really buy it often. Though that, i always tell them “if only the winnings of toto n 4d comes in cash vouchers form, i might just WIN you know!”

I am back to what I am some 6 odd months ago, I perfectly know what I want and what I don’t want. I hate the fact that a person like me could waiver and become someone I couldn’t even see eye to eye. What was I? I couldn’t understand why when I obviously know what are the traits in a person that irks me so much and how I could have compromised. I hate it, I wished I could turn back time, that I know is impossible and I ought to live with it and learn.

I believe in myself so much, the one thing that stuck with me all throughout my life is my confidence, I believe I can do it as long as I put my heart and mind into whatever task I take. I hated the fact that I felt so bloody helpless and that one person just made me feel worst.

Isn’t the person right next to you supposed to help you and encourage you when you feel a little under the weather or scared for that matter? Isn’t that your parents, your friends, your loved ones’ role? Hold your hand while you struggle? Not push you over the ledge, make you feel incompetent and then leave you to die?

I had a difficult time. I struggled for the past 3 nights wondering what went wrong and thinking how someone so dear can hurt me this deep and this much.

I live with some help from friends (rong and sam I owe you one).

Life is picking up.

Menotti April 1, 2007

My 1st food blog entry… finally… sorry folks. Kept you guys waiting for quite a while. Been lazy to blog but decided I’ve procrastinated enough so here goes…

Menotti is a fashionable Italian café & bar offering an extraordinary selection of traditional Italian food and beverage. It projects a trendy and an energetic environment. The dark soothing environment really makes it a perfect chill out place after a hard day at work. Angie ordered set dinner consisting of Beef Carpaccio, Tagliatelle with Scallops and Mushroons and 2 scoops of Gelato, comes with tea or coffee. S$29.90

Beef Carpaccio : The rawness of the beef is so fresh and tasty. Cut a little piece of cheese and match it, it really melts in your mouth!

I didn’t really fancy Angie’s Tagliatelle cos it’s a little too garlicky for my liking but she seems to enjoy it. Hehe

I decided to pamper myself and ordered Lobster Linguine, S$23.80. Not only is the dish appealing, the aroma itself is enough to kill. It tasted so delicious I didn’t have any difficulty finishing the whole plate myself.

Gelato is good but we had it in Venice and I cant help feeling the one  there taste much better.

Soffiato; Warm dark chocolate cake with chocolate chip ice-cream to sum it up. S$9.00.

Their service is not that fantastic I would say. You have to keep prompting their staff to help collect the empty plates and bowls each time you finish your food.

We are definitely going back again and this time we’ll order red wine to go with the sumptous feast. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
