I take cab so often it’s not surprising bumping the same cab uncle. This particular uncle left a deep impression on me cos I took his cab a few times already and the last was probably a year ago. Today, I hopped onto a cab and said “Morning Uncle, Serangoon north ave 5 please.” Uncle turned around and said “Eh, u no longer working in Riverwalk ah?” I looked at uncle and went “HEY UNCLE, how have u been?? Ya loh, our office shifted. Here nearer and no ERP.” We chatted and he gave me lotsa tips on where to eat around the area. HAHAHA…

 

Its nice that people remembers me.

 

I went to Hougang festival market for lunch and had my pork soup, the ONLY lean pork meat I eat, and auntie exclaimed “Xiao Mei, we beri long no see u leh. Was just talking about you and you finally came.” Hahahahaha I replied “Wah auntie, later we go buy 4D lah.” Hahahaha…. Auntie gave me soooo much extra meat. Yumz

 

Its nice that people remembers me.

 

These are just some incidents; never fails to bring a smile and cheers me up instantly. You might be surprised to know aunties and uncles in HKG recognized me after just returning 2-3 times in 3years!!!! D was taken aback when he saw aunties calling out to me “Mei Nui, you come back here to shop ah?? Why so long no come??” hahahaha…

 

Its either I have this really common face or my megawatt smile or my hahahaha personality.

 

Its really, really nice that people remembers me.

This came in my mail today and my OH MY was it posh, class and prestige!! Prada catalogue. The texture, the embossed logo… drools. The reason why I only buy the real thing… I remembered receiving LV catalogue in a gold envelope! CLASSY! Cant wait to attend LV exhibition in HKG. I will soooo carry an LV to the exhibition. Presenting part of the boxes aka part of my collection. ;]

JCDC Vs Lego Fashion Show July 23, 2009

The creativity of fashion. JCDC teamed up with Lego to present the Spring/Summer 3001 fashion show. Very ingenious if you ask me; having Lego modeling his clothes. =]

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I bought my share of Lego accessories in HKG 3-4yrs ago; very quirky, fun and easy to match. I first saw the Lego bracelet worn by this promo gal from Sony or was it Universal, she told me she bought it in Far East for S$80+!!!!!!! I bought it in HKG for about S$20, earrings about S$6/pair, hairband S$2. Oh ya, I have this Lego mobile strap too. Saw this Lego specs on YT blog and if I ever see one, I wouldn’t mind having it.

‘Menses Day’ July 23, 2009

This entry is for all my fellow ladies.

 

Each company should entitle each lady to a day off each month for ‘MENSES DAY’; to be use either on the 2^nd or 3^rd day where the flow/cramp is the heaviest and bad. It is such a chore to be having cramps, heavy flow and still be at work. Each toilet trip can be such a chore!! There is nothing I love doing more than having a hot shower on menses days. D was laffing so badly and he said “What about men??” I gave him that killer stare and said “WHAT ABOUT MEN???!!!? Men can pee even without going to the toilet. Men don’t have menses! Men don’t go through cramps nor pregnancy. SOOO what is it about men???!?! ROARRRRR”

 

LOL LOL LOL D says I have the darnest, craziest, weirdest ideas of all. I know. I’m MAD…MAG.

When you are in your teens / younger and if you are different, you get outcast / ostracized / unpopular.

 

When you are older / working and if you are different, you get unique / special / style. 

 

It’s so ironic.

 

Of cos there are many reasons to it being older, wiser, we think differently, we talk differently… blah blah blah… 

 

I don’t know if it’s the shopping with love last night; she kept telling me the pieces were very me and despite a few hiccups, I bought em! I love it and that’s what matters most. Love did tell me I could carry them off very well… Or was it because of the many comments from babe, dear, bud and others that the weirder, the better, the louder the more MAG and if I were to dress in chiffon, be gal gal, giggle and beat around the bush then it would freak them out that got this whole rock off my back.

 

Finally, after being scarred for nearly 12yrs, and the fact that V was the one who started it all…  the knot or rather the scar is gone… I know now.

I never like doing anything on the surface aka ‘biao mian gongfu’, I like giving my all to anything I do, anyone as a matter of fact. It’s not difficult to read me cos I’m the open book. I like talking and laughing to everyone, anyone but I love mixing with my own khakis the most.  

 

I don’t even get this affected when I fight with D. I don’t want to give anymore. I’m just gona sit here, wait and receive. If you care enough, you’ll come forward. I’m for keeps and I don’t have to prove it no more. My thoughts and perceptions are straightened now; I just have to keep replaying what Bud said to me and believe in it.

 

I flashed back to the days I was hehe haha-ing around and how carefree I wanted to be, but how my rational and emotional state just can’t seem to shake hands again? Maybe everything is just a façade… maybe I’m just a fricking façade… boy, do I feel liberated again now that I am ranting it all out.

 

Feeling a multitude of feelings but hey, I’m just human. BLAH.

the ‘Alphabet Game’ July 9, 2009

One night…I invented this game call the ‘Alphabet Game’. D and I were lying on the bed chatting as usual before we doze off to dreamland and I suddenly went “Bb, we play the Alphabet Game leh, there are 27 alphabets and we can play for a month!! We’ll form words with the 1^st Alphabet… tonight we start with ‘A’, tommorow ‘B’ and so on.“ D was laughing and asking me not to disturb him and let him sleep. I was already starting “Alphabet, apple, angry, anticipating” and D went “hey, cannot so fast hor, one word at a time”… To cut the story short, I won for alphabet A and B… on the night for ‘C’, we were both rather awake and fighting hard to win; the game lasted for 30mins! D was sooooo “angry” with me and started “telling me off”! hahahahaha… he said he couldn’t sleep now cos his brain is wide awake!!! LOL LOL D won for ‘C’ and he dozed off immediately after the game. I was still on my lappy doing some work and after 20mins or so D shouted “Cantoment! Consignment!”… he was sleep talking!!! Yes, he has this habit of talking in his sleep! I was laughing nonstop!!!!! He must be really stressed out with my new game! Hahahahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa

 

To make the game interesting I was fooling around and using words like Ai ni (love you), Ang gu kuay for A, Buay tahan, bo dai ji for B… we had a good time laughing away.

 

LOL told my dearies and they were laughing nonstop. They said I’m full of nonsense which I couldn’t agree more. I can be such a dodo! Hahahaha life with me around is never bored. *smirks*

 

It’s good bonding time don’t you think?? Many say ya, I know etc but how many does make the effort to do it? You can always come out with some interesting bonding games too; be it with your kids, your friends or your family. =] if not, you can always buzz me and I’ll “customized” free bonding games for you! hahahaha

A tribute performed by 1,500 CPDRC Inmates on June 27, 2009 in memory of Michael Jackson. This was completed in 10 hours after receiving word that the King of Pop passed away.

 

I guess I still haven’t really come to terms that MJ is dead. Like many said, his music will live on and continue to inspire…
