shoes that helps you workout; MBT!

A little info about MBT:

MBT stands for “Masai Barefoot Technology,” and the shoes are designed to simulate walking in sand. It’s a multi-layered, curved sole that accomplishes this by creating a natural but uneven walking surface. This technology is meant to make the core strengthening muscles more active, creating better posture and increasing shock absorbtion for all of the joints. It also makes wearing the shoes quite a unique experience, and a bit of a workout.

MBT shoes have been billed as “the world’s smallest gym.” Since they increase muscle activity, strengthening and toning of the leg, buttock, stomach and back muscles takes place during everyday activities like walking and standing.

Celebrities such as Madonna, Teri Hatcher, Sylvester Stallone, Antonio Banderas, Randall, Justin’s father, and Elizabeth Hurley wearing such shoes as the solution to an active lifestyle and maintaining a physical form of envy.

As for me, I get to know about MBT from Hong Kong’s actress-turned style icon Hilary Tsui. I read how reviews was saying MBT sandals are ugly and they are only best worn while working out… but you will soon change your mind after seeing how Hilary Tsui effortlessly brings each MBT sandals to life!

My reviews:

MBT sandals are a little heavy to walk in and after walking for some time, 2-3 hours, you can feel your feet aching. D who exercises regularly felt the same ache as I do. BUT after wearing these for the next few days in a row, we discover by the 4th day, the ache is no longer there. We felt our thighs and calves tighten and our walking position seems to have improve too for my backache is no longer as bad. It’s been about a year since I had my MBT (gotten the black leather one for myself and the white for D) and I enjoy wearing them and am happy to see the walking position corrected and aching problems gone. As for the fashion part, it’s how one mix and match. I am eyeing for another pair of neon pink MBT sandals, should I??
